The bridal table decor: elegance at the table
The table decor for your wedding reception is imagined as something unique, representing the bride and groom and something to be remembered. We are therefore happy to share with you 5 tips on how to stylishly dress your tables.
1. Choosing the centrepieces with care is important. To let the dinner conversation flow, you should keep the floral arrangements low, no higher than the diners' faces. In particular, lights or candles at eye level can be annoying: in addition to being
a visual obstruction, they can also be uncomfortable for the eye.
2. It is good to have the right number of plates and glasses on the table. Etiquette is always essential and functional: remember to coordinate the table setting to the type of table service chosen and to include everything necessary for the planned courses. In this way, even diners less used to formal tables will be at ease.
3. For a chic, unfussy look, napkins should be folded very simply and discreetly. There are two correct positions for the napkins: to the left of the dinner plate and forks or on top of the plate. In this case, it should accompany and support something, e.g. a napkin holder, menu or place card - always discreet and in keeping with the mood chosen for the celebration.
4. In addition to the table centrepiece, decorations can be the most varied and creative, always bearing in mind to put elements on the table that do not interfere with the food. Feathers and glitter are very decorative and liven up the tablescape, it is always a good idea to strike a balance between objects, flowers, colours and elements.
5. As for the menu, always prefer quality over quantity. Too many courses might become excessively heavy and diners may get restless if sitting too long. They will instead appreciate your hospitality even more if you do. Local dishes and seasonal fare are definitely to be preferred over exotic or strange food that may put off some of the guests.
